Brilliant Student Throws Herself In Front Of High-Speed Train After Becoming Stressed Over School Studies, Dad Finally Speak Out

A brilliant student, Chandni Nigam, 19, committed suicide by throwing herself in front of a high-speed train after becoming stressed over school studies, according to Mirror.

Chandni was known to many as an overachiever and “perfectionist” who strived to obtain straight A’s in school, but what no one knew was that she suffered from depression and anxiety, which led to her suicidal thoughts.

In addition to depression and anxiety, her father, Ankush Nigam, stated that she also struggled with malnutrition, acne, hair loss, and itchy skin.

Unable to cope, she told her family several times in 2013 that she would someday end her life by standing in front of a train. However, that day came last February at the Twyford railway.

“That was the first time she made a comment in respect of the train. She clicked her fingers and said it would be instantaneous so don’t worry,” Ankush said.

“Nobody was willing to accept our version of events. What she said was given so much significance while what we said was ignored.”

“I thought I might as well just let her go.”

“I was waiting for something like this to happen. I literally felt like a passenger.”

“I wish I had not subjected her to any of those doctors or anybody now. All I have done is added to her misery.”

Ankush believes that she killed herself because she didn’t want to have to face being placed on medication again. It was reported that Chandni told her doctor several times that she did not want to take medication for her condition.

On the day Chandni committed suicide by train, bystanders said they saw her stepping onto the train tracks moments before the high-speed train ran over her body.

“She did not appear scared and made no attempt to get out of the way of the oncoming train,” according to Johnathan Housby who saw the horrific incident take place.

Another man that was present during the suicide, Matthew Lock, said he saw her standing on the train tracks and remembers “shouting something and then she was gone.”

The train driver said he saw the young lady standing on the train, glaring at it without a flinch. He blew his horn, but she didn’t move. Although he pressed on the brakes, he still managed to run over Chandni.

Paramedics later arrived at the scene, but it was too late. Chandni died instantly as a result of multiple injuries sustained from the train.

It is now in question whether or not Chandni committed suicide due to her mental illness or school studies.
