Rumer Willis May Pay Homage To Mom Demi Moore On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Rumer Willis could soon be paying homage to mom Demi Moore’s work on Dancing With The Stars, but don’t expect a racy Striptease routine from the contestant.

Willis, who is seen as a frontrunner on the dancing competition, recently discussed the idea of doing a dance that honors the work of one of her famous parents, Demi Moore in particular. Her other parent is Bruce Willis.

While Rumer Willis said she would be open to paying homage to her mom or dad, she said it would need to be appropriate for the show.

E! Online noted that “they could not be more proud and supportive,” Rumer said. As for an homage to one of her parents’ characters, Rumer’s not ruling it out yet.

“It depends, for me, if it works with the song or dance I want to do,” she said. So could we see a G.I. Jane or Striptease dancing? “That might be a little too risqué for the show.”

Whether she finds a way to honor her parents or not, Rumer Willis seems to have earned her own way on the show. She has become a favorite among fans and is regarded as one of the most talented competitors this year. USA Today even came up with a list of the “3 Reasons Why Rumer Willis Is This Season’s Dancing Queen.”

Partner Val Chmerkovskiy, who knows exactly what it takes to win the competition, is high on his partner’s chances.

“She works really hard, she’s a performer, she’s an actress, she works well with characters and music,” Val said. “Her body just follows her mind and her energy.”

Rumer also has the support of her famous parents — and her one-time step-dad, as well. Ashton Kutcher, who was once married to Demi Moore, has remained close to Rumer and is reportedly pulling for her this season.

“They have texted and also keep in touch about life,” the source told Hollywood Life about Ashton and Rumer’s enduring relationship. “He is really proud of her and hopes the best for her and makes sure to watch her performance online if he doesn’t catch the show on DVR. He is very supportive and always wishes her luck via text.”

While she’s ruled out a racy Striptease dance, there is still a good chance that Rumer Willis finds a way to pay homage to her mom or dad. Past contestants have found a way to work some of their famous aspects into their routines, including Alfonso Ribeiro doing the “Carlton” dance last year.
