Obama attends Basketball game, has beer. Guess what this results in.

President Barack Obama was a surprise visitor to a theWizards, Chicago Bulls game Friday night. The President arrived just before the start of the match, sitting in a standard seat among some very surprised Wizards fans.

As the game progressed, the President even purchased a beer, which naturally he was pictured drinking. Nothing out of the ordinary so far, with the President enjoying a beer and game like millions of other Americans do.

But the audacity of the President drinking beer and having an hour off on a Friday night! The nerve! We’ll that’s what some talkback radio callers thought.

“People are losing 5, 10, 20 thousand dollars a day in the stock market, and he’s sitting there drinking a beer!” a caller told WWL. “It’s insulting… there’s a lot of people suffering.” The caller insisted President Obama should not publicly have fun during a time of so much pain.

Another caller was upset about Obama drinking beer. “The president is the president 24 hours a day. I don’t think he should drink on the job.”

Oh, did I mention the criticism came exclusively from women callers?

The male callers took a different view:

“That’s the craziest thing I’ve ever heard in my life,” one man said in response to the first woman caller. “He didn’t mess up the country, first of all… let’s be real now. A man’s gotta take some down time.”

“She needs to get a life,” another called responded. “We all need to lighten up.”

Another man said, “Aww heck, you know, ain’t nothin’ wrong with it. He’s takin’ a little break, knockin’ him down a cold one.”
