Pink Spends $5,000 to Save Puppy’s Life

Pink apparently has a passion for puppies.

TMZ is reporting that Pop Rock singer Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, recently dropped $5,000 on medical bills in order to save the life of a puppy that had been tossed in a Los Angeles river and left for dead.

According to the report, Pink was surfing the interwebz when she stumbled upon an article asking for help for a puppy that had been thrown over a LA overpass – suffering three broken legs upon the fall – and left to die.

Knowing the dog needed surgery to survive, Pink immediately contacted the Ace of Hearts animal rescue organization to pay the $5k needed to perform the operation.

AceShowbiz points out that Pink herself lost a beloved pooch – her bulldog Elvis – to drowning back in 2007, which made the Ace of Hearts story that much more personal to her.

The dog’s emergency surgery was successful and it has since been adopted by a loving family.
