Florida Man Arrested For Solicitation, Offers To Pay For Sex With $3 And A Chicken Dinner

Prostitution is considered one of the most rampant crimes that police departments are trying to end. The Inquisitr has reported numerous times on the crime, and the criminals in which authorities have busted them. A recent story highlighted a high school where six students were prostituting themselves out of the boy’s bathroom. In the U.S. government, the Obama Administration has recently been linked to the prostitution scandal of 2012. And for those who argue semantics, wealthy men are trading college students their tuition for their companionship (which may include sex) in which both the “sugar babies” and “sugar daddies” argue said arrangement isn’t prostitution but a “relationship.”

No matter what, prostitution is illegal in the United States–with the exception of many rural areas in Nevada. Still most people seek out said services at the risk of getting busted and some are willing to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for the right level of companionship. For one Florida man, he didn’t think hundreds or thousands of dollars were needed as he tried to pay for the lewd services with $3 and a chicken dinner!

According to an report by News 13, a prostitution sting in Sanford, FL Thursday night yielded a result of seven arrests. The Sanford Police Department’s Neighborhood Response Unit conducted a Prostitution Decoy operation in the area of 27th Street and State Road 600. As part of the operation, a female Investigator went undercover and posed as a street level prostitute.

Cecil Smith, the Sanford Police Chief, made a statement on what the Sanford Police Department hoped to accomplish during these operation stings.

This sting is part of the Sanford Police Department’s ongoing commitment to improve the quality of life for Sanford residents by going after not only those who sell sex but those who solicit sex as well.”

Steve Torres, a 32-year-old man from Melbourne, Florida, tried to procure prostitution services with $3 and a chicken dinner.

One of the men arrested tried to pay for sexual services with unconventional, if not a laughable price. According to Space Coast Daily, Steven Torres, a 32-year-old man from Melbourne, tried to pay for sexual services with a chicken dinner and $3. When broken down, Torres tried to purchase a good time with an amount that could barely cover the cost of a bag of potato chips, along with a chicken dinner. Nevertheless, Torres allegedly attempted to pay an equivalent of $7 to $10 for services, but he is getting the same charge as the other six men who probably offered hundreds of dollars or more for the exact same thing.

Along with Steven Torres, Ronald Barker (67, Winter Springs), Christopher Butler (34, DeBary), Tarance Carr (45, Sanford), Troy Cuff (38, Ocoee), Thomas Ham (57, Lake Mary), and Antonio Perez Toma (36, Sanford) were arrested and charged with “procure to prostitution.”

What do you think about Torres’ attempt to buy sex with a chicken dinner? Is he less of a man for having to trade food for something that other men can get for free?
