Franklyn follows four intertwining stories, three of which takes place in contemporary London and the fourth takes place in Meanwhile City, a parallel fantasy environment rich with steam punk. In Meanwhile City, atheist vigilante Jonathan Preest (Ryan Phillippe) fights against the various religious presences. Ultimately, his path crosses with three others (Eva Green, Sam Riley, Bernard Hill) from London.

The early reception for the film hasn’t been great, but the visuals are getting a lot of praise. One for steam punk fans.
