Sinatra crooner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. beat out a field of talented singers, dancers and performers to win season 6 of America’s Got Talent, claiming the competitions $1 million prize along with a Vegas contract.
The singer managed to beat out body-lighted Team iLuminate, the band PopLyfe and shadow dancers Silhouettes. It should be noted that PopLyfe stumbled during their Queen cover medley on Tuesday.
During the finale for season 6 the 36-year-old crooner performed with Patti LaBell, a big jump in his career after appearing on the show straight from his job at a West Virginia car wash.
The other acts also got to perform with known performers, including iLuminate with Cobra Starship, Silhouettes with LeAnn Rimes and PopLyfe who played a tune with Stevie Wonder.
Returning to the show was last season’s runner up Jackie Evancho, the tiny operatic singer who has launched quite the career of her own.

yes, god knows he deserved to win.with his amazing voice and humble attitude.god always look up the people like him.he didn't denied it where he came from? god bless you all the way, and you did it your way.
I'm sorry but yes he had a amazing voice but…. I'm starting to notice a trend with AGT, Its always always a singer, along side of some group/groups that are MORE talented, I think the *votes* are just to charge your cellphone, Do u really believe KEVIN skinnard chicken chaser won over fighting gravity? Oh hell naw.
sorry, he was a karaoke champion – did not do anything original but sing other people's songs……..I have seen better people sing Sinatra on cruise ships……the other acts (team Illuminate and Silhouettes) were far more talented and original……I am very disappointed with the results – yet again, a singer wins (is this American Idol or America's Got Talent?)……chicken farmer, grim the dude who sings like david mathews, and now a sinatra karaoke star……I am shocked America voted this way – still am…….ask yourself this question, who would you PAY to see? I would not pay to see any of the last 3 winners not a penny….however team Illuminate, Slhouettes, Jackie, Defying Gravity, etc, etc I would pay to see……something seems wrong with the voting….. a lot of us probably will no longer watch this show – if you want singers, goto American Idol – PLEASE!
