‘Batman Vs Superman’ Cast: Four New Villains Revealed

[Update: These cast additions are rumors for now]

New Batman Vs Superman cast members have been uncovered as villains. Most of them are minor, but they will cause no less trouble for the heroes at the “dawn of justice.”

After it was revealed that Lex Luthor, played by Zombieland‘s Jessie Eisenberg, will be more of a skinhead punk this time, it’s obvious that the new Justice League movie will be taking a very new approach to the DC Comics universe. It appears that Warner Bros may have learned their lesson about multiple villains though, because only one of the four new ones announced has ever been a major problem for one of the heroes.

Victor Zsazs is a Batman villain known for killing his victims with a knife and then carving a mark in his own skin as a sort of tally. It is unknown whether he will be played by Tim Booth, who made a cameo in Batman Begins as the same character.

Rumors of a Batman Vs Superman cast addition for the Joker so far have been proven false, possibly to let the fans keep Heath Ledger’s award winning performance fresh and untouched a little longer. While the Joker has always been known as Batman’s main rival in the comics, the Batman Vs Superman plot might deviate from the canon enough to let other villains get the spotlight first.

The other villains revealed for the Batman Vs Superman cast are minor ones like Lex Luthor’s public relations person Moran Edge, possibly played by Scoot McNairy (Argo). He will mostly appear near the beginning in an interview with Lois Lane (Amy Adams), possibly delivering subtle hints of a threat over the air as Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) listens in from the Bat Cave.

Lex Luthor seems central to the list of villains, as the second one announced is world renowned assassin David Cain, who meets with Luthor’s bodyguard Mercy Graves at some point, possibly resulting in a confrontation that Luthor has to break up. Mercy Graves may be played by Tao Okamoto, known for her appearance in The Wolverine. It is unknown who will play the role of David Cain, but he could be working alongside Zsazs in an uneasy alliance.

The fourth Batman Vs Superman cast villain is a Senator who doesn’t like the way Superman (Henry Cavill) handles things. After the blatant destruction of Metropolis in the first film it’s not difficult to see why. Senator Amanda Waller doesn’t trust Superman and treats him as a threat, mirroring a similar storyline with Senator Kelly in the X-Men series.

While only one of the Batman Vs Superman cast additions is a villain people might know from the Arkham games, it doesn’t appear that there will be much of a power struggle among the bad guys.

What villains do you think should be in the latest DC Comics headliner?
