Pharrell Williams Wants To Collaborate With Noel And Liam Gallagher

Pharrell Williams would love nothing more than to get Oasis back together.

Although it’s been several years since Noel and Liam Gallagher have spoken to one another, apparently the award-winning producer is keen on getting the brothers back in the studio. Of course, Williams could have his work cut out for him.

Noel and Liam haven’t spoken to one another since in nearly four years. After a long history of behind-the-scenes turmoil, Noel decided he’d had enough and abruptly left the band in 2009. Getting the two in the same space will require a fair amount of time and patience.

Pharrell Williams discussed his dream project during a recent interview with the Belfast Telegraph. Although the rapper would love to get the Gallagher brothers back into the studio, it’s unclear if the project will ever come to fruition.

“Who wouldn’t want to work with the Gallaghers? Yeah, both of them,” Williams explained during his recent chat.

If Williams is serious about working with the brothers, then he should seriously consider contacting Noel at some point very soon. Gallagher told Rolling Stone late last year that he’s thinking about heading into the studio this year.

Noel Gallagher told the publication:

“I haven’t started recording yet, so I was kind of going to see the rest of the year out and then kind of spend most of next year in the studio. I hope to do some recording in New York, because I’ve never done it before, and maybe on the off chance I might bump into David Bowie somewhere on the street, and get him to come down to the studio, dressed as an elf, and do a little mime while I’m putting an acoustic guitar track.”

Noel and Liam Gallagher aren’t the only musicians Pharrell Williams would love to collaborate with down the road. The producer also dropped the names of several world-class musicians, though he doesn’t think the projects are likely to happen.

“I really respect Elton John’s music and I’d love to do something with him. I would love to do a whole album with Stevie Wonder. That would be amazing. He doesn’t need me, but it’d be amazing,” Williams explained.

For the moment, Pharrell is busy putting together a solo album for the folks at Columbia Records. The record label intends to release the record before the end of 2014.

Are you a fan of Pharrell Williams? Would you like to see the producer work with Stevie Wonder, Elton John, or the Gallagher brothers?
