South Africa: So A Giraffe Walks Into A Restaurant [Video]

A South Africa safari park restaurant got an unusual guest for lunch — her name was Perdy, a female giraffe.

According to Metro, the 20 foot tall giraffe made an appearance at a restaurant in the Lion Park animal sanctuary in Johannesburg, South Africa. Guests were of course surprised and rather amused to be dining with such a fascinating creature from the wild.

Perdy didn’t seem to very interested in the food they offered as she can be seen nibbling on a small plant and then slowly strolling on out. It would seem like she just wanted to take a tour of the area, just like the rest of the visitors.

This of course isn’t the only animal video that has viewers online in stitches. The Inquisitr recently brought to your viewing pleasure a video of a farting deer that has since gone viral. The video was originally posted in August of 2011, but made quite the comeback after showing up on the link-sharing site Reddit.

While the video does seem to prove that toilet humor is still alive and well, it’s pretty obvious that there was some “enhanced” audio added. As The Inquisitr stated, the extra audio did help give the video a little more “lively sound, but its clear what the deer was trying to accomplish.”

Of course, there was also the incident last summer when a woman walked her horse into a McDonald’s in England. While some people found the incident rather amusing, those in the restaurant didn’t seem to find it all that funny, especially after the animal reportedly “used the bathroom” inside the building in front of all the customers.

The whole event started when a woman walked up to a drive-thru window with the horse. After employees told her that horses weren’t allowed at the window, she brought the animal right into the store. According to a previous report by The Inquisitr, a spokeswoman for McDonalds said the following in a statement:

“On 20 July a woman allowed her pony to enter our restaurant in Whitefield after being refused service in the drive-thru lane. The incident caused distress to customers and disruption for the restaurant, and the police issued the woman with a fixed penalty notice. The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority, and for this reason we are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders or customers on horseback through the drive-thru.”

In the case of Perdy the giraffe walking through a South Africa safari park restaurant, people didn’t seem to mind her company. In fact, the giraffe seemed to provide visitors a nice bit of entertainment with their meal.
