Yvette Prieto, basketball legend Michael Jordan’s new wife, is giving Michael a very special 50th birthday present.
The Inquisitr reported the good news in November with an article entitled: “ Yvette Prieto Makes Michael Jordan A Father Again At 50.” :
“Yvette Prieto and Michael Jordan announced that they are expecting a baby just seven months after the couple got married. The baby will be Prieto’s first, and Michael’s fourth child.”
Well, the update is that Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto are to be blessed with the sound of not two pattering little feet, but four. That’s right, the happy couple announced that they are expecting identical twin girls.
The twins may come as a bit of a shock to the system for Jordan, who has become used to quite a different lifestyle than that of playing daddy.
Wright Thomson from ESPN wrote about the massive change to Jordan’s life since his marriage to Yvette Prieto:
“Whatever changes he’s made are because of [Yvette], and she offers him the best hope to rediscover pieces of the boy who wrote those letters from college. Two Easters ago, Yvette went with him to North Carolina to visit family, which is spread around the state. She’d been bugging him about taking her to Wilmington, to show her where he grew up. Like most people, she sometimes struggled to imagine him before. She wanted to meet the Mike Jordan who needed his mom and dad to send stamps. This required about seven hours of driving, which he didn’t want to do. Finally, he gave in. ‘It’s amazing what women can talk you into doing,’ he says. ‘Make you change. Ten years ago, we’d have been arguing all [expletive] day. I would’ve won. This time, this stage where I am, you win. That’s progress.’”
The media will no doubt be speculating on what the twin girls are to be named after they are born.
