WWE Rumors: ‘WrestleMania 35’ Location Has Three Possible Cities For Host Venue

While there are plenty of WWE rumors about next year’s Mania pay-per-view, what about WrestleMania 35? The professional wrestling event is well over a year away and will take place in 2019, but the host venue has yet to be determined. However, there are now rumors that the WrestleMania 35 location has been narrowed down. There are three possible cities being speculated to host the big event when it happens, but which one will win out?

In a report from WrestleZone this past weekend, it was noted that several major cities are being considered “out of the running” to host the “Super Bowl of pro wrestling” in 2019. The cities that are said to be out of consideration are Minnesota, Indianapolis, Toronto, and Miami. There are three cities that are considered the frontrunners to land the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view. Those are Philadelphia, New York City, and Detroit. Of those three, it’s being said that officials are leaning towards Detroit, Michigan as the host for the 35th edition of the WrestleMania pay-per-view.

A tweet from WrestleZone ‘s Harry Kettle this past week gave some reasons as to why Detroit would provide an “inexpensive Mania” location. Basically, the Arena Stadium, as well as the Convention Hall where WrestleMania Axxess would probably be held, are about five minutes from Canada. That gives WWE a close proximity to foreign visitors to the states who want to see the big pro wrestling show live and in person.

Detroit previously hosted the event at Ford Field back in 2007 for WrestleMania 23 . There was an estimated crowd of over 80,000 fans in attendance to see the latest match card. That included John Cena defending his WWE Championship against Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker defeating “The Animal” Batista for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That event also featured the infamous “Hair vs. Hair Match” where Vince McMahon’s wrestler Umaga took on Donald Trump’s chosen superstar Bobby Lashley. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the guest referee in a match that saw Lashley win and Mr. McMahon get shaved bald.

Since WWE usually holds a huge NXT: TakeOver event the night before Mania , as well as the big WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, they’ll have the brand new Little Caesar’s Arena to host both of those. As for the main event, fans are hoping it won’t be Roman Reigns in a third-straight Mania main event, but one never knows what WWE may have in store.

WWE fans, which city do you think should host WrestleMania 35 when it arrives in 2019?
