WWE News: WWE Planning On Charlotte Beating Nikki Bella Before ‘Night Of Champions’?

Instead of receiving overwhelming praise, the Divas Revolution is getting a lot of flack over the current writing the WWE is doing. When Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks were promoted to the main roster, the WWE tried to inflate the entire division, rather than keep the WWE NXT women by themselves to push them individually.
Last week was the ultimate time of frustration for the WWE Universe. On WWE Raw, they scheduled a “Beat the Clock” challenge for Team P.C.B. The winner would face Nikki Bella for the Divas championship. Overall, the three matches were a little under seven minutes. On top of that, the matches didn’t live up to the expectations that WWE fans are used to.
That’s no fault of the women themselves because they’re doing what the WWE officials are telling them to do. The reason “Give Divas a Chance” existed was due to the writing team not giving them enough time. Even though that’s taking place right now, WWE fans are still mad about the Divas Revolution.
Nikki Bella hasn’t been a favorable champion — quite the opposite, actually. She’s under three weeks until A.J Lee’s title reign record, and Bella may not be beating it after all. According to E-Wrestling News, Charlotte could defeat Bella before Night of Champions.
“The speculation is from a promo that Charlotte did on Thursday’s episode of SmackDown when Charlotte requested that The Authority to move her match up before Nikki breaks AJ Lee ‘s Divas title record.”
This is entirely speculation, but the way WWE was playing up Bella’s title reign with the “Bella-Tron” is making WWE fans think she could lose it before Night of Champions. Charlotte was also the clear choice for the first Divas championship shot. From there, she will most likely defend it against Sasha Banks, with a heel Becky Lynch down the road.
In Michael Cole’s weekly interview, he talked to Charlotte about her Divas championship opportunity. She noted that she remembered Emma and Paige facing off at NXT Arrival, which made her think if she can be in that position someday. What the always humble Charlotte didn’t realize is that she would go on to be bigger than both of those women on WWE NXT.
Frankly, the Divas Revolution truly won’t begin until Nikki Bella drops her Divas title to one of the WWE NXT women. Even though they debuted, WWE put all three women in stables, which didn’t let them get over on their own. When one of them wins the championship, they truly will get over individually. Also, if Charlotte is victorious, that will spell the end of Team P.C.B sooner rather than later.
