A Reddit user posted about her unique experience with plastic surgery, to be specific, face fillers. She titled the post, “Told my husband I got filler, and he fully failed the assignment lol.” She shared a funny story about how her husband could not tell she got fillers. He thought she was just using a different skin care regimen and looked better. She wrote, “I got a tiny bit of filler and didn’t tell my husband right away because I wanted to see if he’d notice anything.”
She pointed out her husband had “Like zero awareness.” This prompted her to check her face again to see if something was missing or didn’t look right. Impressed by the cosmetic procedure, she felt like he would say something soon, but to her disappointment, he did not have a reaction. After a few days, he asked her if she had changed her skincare. He said, “Your skin looks good.”
At that time, she confessed she got fillers, and that’s not skincare. In his response, he refused even to accept that she had fillers even when she insisted. He told her she looked more rested now. The OP wrote she had needles in her face, and her husband could not even tell the difference.
At the end, she explained the filler gave her a more balanced look, and her filler was, “apparently completely invisible to husbands everywhere.” Instead of looking for plastic, many people aim to have natural plastic surgery results, and she achieved them with fillers. Her husband’s reaction amused Reddit users. One of them commented, “That’s exactly what you want with filler.” Many people go overboard with fillers, and it looks noticeable, so the goal of fillers is to look as natural as possible.

Another one pointed out women may notice such subtle changes better than men and commented, “Now if you can also fool all the women everywhere, you know you got yourself a good round of filler.” One of them shared their experience with fillers in the comments.
“My own mother didn’t notice I got filler on the day I got filler. My husband didn’t either. 3 months later, he still doesn’t know. In my book, that’s mission accomplished! My lips are now symmetrical and at a “normal” level of plump instead of frighteningly thin. But no one can tell!!” wrote the Redditor.

Another one added, “My ideal response from others would be that they notice SOMETHING and say I look great, but they don’t know that I actually DID something pretty major.” One user took a dig at the rampant filler and Botox culture, “I feel like one day there will be an exposé on YouTube about how there were thousands of bot accounts subtly promoting filler on Reddit.” Some millennials are getting these cosmetic treatments in their twenties.
