HTC could launch the Merge handset at Verizon Wireless as early as Thursday according to internet rumors that circled today.

The Merge is the first HTC Smartphone to feature a full sliding QWERTY keyboard on the Verizon Wireless Network and is also reported to feature the newly minted second-generation Snapdragon processor.

According to Electronista, it also features a 3.8 inch touchscreen and offers a 5MP camera.

It’s still unclear if 4G rumors are accurate with conflicting reports pointing to different answers. GSM support for worldwide versions of the phone will also make it a catch for users outside of the Verizon network.
