Travis Fimmel Announced For Supanova Event In Australia, ‘Warcraft’ Premiere Fast Approaches

For Australian fans of History Channel’s Vikings, June of this year just got a whole lot more interesting. Along with the Australian premiere of the Warcraft movie starring Australian actor, Travis Fimmel (who plays Vikings main character, Ragnar Lothbrok), he has just been booked for the Sydney and Perth legs of Supanova.

Firstly, while the Warcraftmovie will premiere in the U.S. on June 10, in Australia, the movie will premiere on June 16. As yet, there has been no announcement on a red carpet event for the Australian premiere. However, considering the Sydney Supanova event falls a day after the Australian premiere date for Warcraft, perhaps Travis Fimmel will be making a Warcraftpremiere appearance? As if finally being able to see the movie that has been a decade in the making isn’t already enough!

As for Travis Fimmel’s appearance at Supanova, the announcement was made via Supanova’s official website. The details of his appearances are below.

“Travis will conduct a general admission Q&A each weekend, and participate in signing and photo sessions* on Friday in Sydney (2:30pm – 5:30pm) and throughout each Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) in both cities.”

“*Autograph ($70 each) and photograph ($80 each) fees apply”

“This information is correct at the time of writing but please check the Event Programme for the final timetable, including time and location within the events.”

“Guest confirmed, health and other commitments pending.”

For the rest of the world, just what is Supanova? Basically, it is Australia’s equivalent of the U.S. Comic Con franchise. Along with famous guests from popular movies and TV shows, there are also plenty of guests from other pop culture, including cartoon voices, gaming experts, cosplayers, and authors. Supanova occurs throughout the year in different states of Australia. Thanks to some of the events being held close to each other, time-wise, some Supanova guests will travel between events. This is likely the reason Travis Fimmel will be appearing at both Sydney and Perth Supanovas as they fall within one week of each other.

And if you are only a fan of Travis Fimmel thanks to History Channel’s show, Vikings, as yet there has been no news in regard to when the second half of Season 4 of Vikingswill air beyond the official statement of; “Raid the rest of Season 4 of #Vikings later this year!” when one fan asked History Channel on their official Facebook page. As a result, rumors have been rifein regards to when the show will return.

Travis Fimmel was born in Australia and raised on a large farm in rural Victoria. Currently, the actor lives between Los Angeles and Ireland, where Vikings is filmed. He returns home to Australia as often as possible between projects.
