Tori Spelling Mourns Dog’s Death

Tori Spelling is reportedly mourning the loss of her 11-year-old pug, Mimi LaRue, who died on Tuesday of natural causes. It’s nice to see someone who cares so much about their pets ( ahem ), but methinks the interview Tori had with People was a bit much:

“She was not just a dog but a fashion icon and legend amongst Hollywood dogs,’ Spelling says. ‘She received fan e-mail on a regular basis, and I often joked she got sent more designer clothes than me!’”

I think I missed something– dogs can be fashion icons, too? As if celeb baby fashion icons weren’t bad enough, now we have the pups mysteriously responsible for picking out their frilly pink outfits. Sigh.
