A glittering display of diamonds were the real stars Friday night, as Tiffany & Co. held its annual event to launch their new Blue Book Collection. Actresses Naomi Watts, Reese Witherspoon, Diane Kruger, and Jessica Biel were among the guests decked out in jewels at the 2016 Tiffany Blue Book Gala in New York City.
The Art of Transformation was the theme for the one-of-a-kind collection, which got its inspiration from the exploration of nature, according to NY Magazine. This year, the gala was held at the Cunard Building in Lower Manhattan’s Financial District instead of Rockefeller Center that hosted previous events.
Guests dined inside the Great Hall of the Cunard Building, whose first floor interior became a New York City landmark in 1995. The building’s architecture consists of painted domed high ceilings decorated in an Italian Renaissance style.
Jazz singer Esperanza Spalding was the night’s entertainment for the Tiffany Blue Book Gala. The singer was also paired with the famous jeweler’s diamonds as she sang during the dinner’s first course.

After the guests finished eating, a DJ entertained the crowd for the rest of the night. Music from the 1970s and 1980s filled up the Great Hall as guests danced till the end of the gala.
The Tiffany Blue Book Collection is Tiffany & Co.’s annual publication that exposes beautiful jewelry pieces to its customer base. Company founder Charles Lewis Tiffany first created the book in 1845 as a way to showcase the jewelry to loyal customers. Eventually, the book included glossy photos and a book cover that uses Tiffany Blue, the famous blue robin’s egg color that the jewelry company uses for its jewelry boxes.
The Tiffany Blue Book features couture jewelry that uses rare gems in unique designs. The Blue Book is available as a direct mail catalog and as a digital version, with the latter using more detail over the jewelry pieces’ gems and creations. The catalog includes contact information for its official website, store locator and a personal shopping service for consumers that want to wear luxury jewelry.
Every new Blue Book Collection debuts at the annual gala, although many celebrities have worn pieces from the Blue Book Collection at other big red carpet events.
