Thom Yorke dropped a huge hint at Bonnaroo Music Festival, where the band headlined on Friday, saying that Radiohead may have collaborated together with Jack White on something, before dedicating the song “Supercollider” to him.

Sean from Radiohead At Ease commented that:

“…given that Jack White’s Third Man Records studio/shop/ dreamatorium is located in nearby Nashville, I don’t think it’s completely unreasonable to assume that Radiohead may have recorded a 7? or a collaboration of some kind with Jack this week. Thom said we’d ‘find out later.’ Already looking forward to it…whatever it turns out to be.”

Before launching into “Supercollider” during their two-hour-long concert Friday night, Yorke stated:

“This song is for Jack White. We saw him yesterday. A big thank-you to him, but we can’t tell you why. You’ll find out.”

Brett Warner with ology.com wrote that, following Thom’s announcement, all Radioheads will spend the weekend, “relentlessly speculating when, why, how and what Radiohead and Jack White have been working on together.” He went on to say:

“In an conceivable scenario, a small contingent of music fans will, unavoidably, simply keel over and die from the anticipation and/or excitement surrounding this faux-announcement.”

Warner also addressed Yorke directly, stating:

“I hope you’re okay with that, Thom Yorke. I hope you can still sleep at night on your big comfy pillow of EVIL.”

Radiohead did debut a new track earlier this week at their show in Cincinnati, called “Full Stop.” So, Radiohead fans, it is entirely possible that we will see a new track debuted from Radiohead that may be a collaboration with the White Stripes’ Jack White, per the shady, cliff-hanging announcement from Thom Yorke.
