For the water park and theme park enthusiast out there, we may have found just the place to blow your mind.

The place is a crazy German water park (the phrase is according to the man who uploaded the video above) called Tropical Islands Resort.

According to the video, the resort is about 45 minutes outside of Berlin and while we will not go so far as to call it a crazy German water park, it is pretty epic in its appearance.

The website Pixable has more on the video of the crazy German water park and the man who filmed and uploaded it:

“Casey Neistat, a well respected producer and director, uploaded a video on YouTtube of his trip to one of the most ridiculous water parks you could imagine. Neistat took his son, Owen, with him on his latest adventure to Tropical Islands Resort, which is just a short ride outside of Berlin, Germany, to experience the thrill of flying down a water-slide built in an old airship hangar.

“The footage is so crazy that we’re looking at the next flight to Germany to try these slides out ourselves.”

Yeah, the thing used to house airplanes of gigantic proportions. What is not entirely clear is whether the former hangar was in use during World War II, it is clear that the facility in Krausnick, Germany, is pretty massive.

On the website of Tropical Islands Resort, the water park explains the size of the airport hangar in which is it housed:

“The Tropical Islands Dome is gigantic. In fact, it is the largest free-standing hall in the world: 360 metres long, 210 metres wide and an incredible 107 metres high.

“That is big enough to fit the Statue of Liberty in standing up and the Eiffel Tower lying on its side. The Tropical Islands Dome covers an area of 66,000 m², the size of eight football fields. And it is high enough to fit in the whole of Berlin’s Potsdamer Platz, with all its skyscrapers.”

Since the video was uploaded to YouTube on July 16, it has been viewed a total of nearly 9.2 million times.

The video came out not long after safety concerns were raised about a new ride at Verrückt at Schlitterbahn in Kansas City.

Something tells us that regardless of safety concerns, Americans and Germans alike have a thirst for danger and fun, meaning both parks are likely to be helped by videos like the one above.
