“The Hunger Games” has ruled the box office since its debut more than a month ago. But this weekend there is no king in town. “Think Like A Man,” a new movie based on the Steve Harvey book, brought in more than $12 million on Friday to unseat the Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson at the box office.

“Think Like A Man” brought in $12.2 million on Friday and is expected to come close to $30 million by the end of the weekend. “The Hunger Games,” which was the first movie since “Avatar” to hold the top spot at the box office for four consecutive weeks, brought in just $3 million on Friday night.

“Think Like A Man” has mixed reviews from critics and fans. The movie currently has an even 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Hollywood Chicago writes :

“It’s a movie that could have been better but works on its own terms – it’s funny, clever, and even sweet.”

Box office analysts are predicting that “The Hunger Games” could still grab $14 million this weekend, but it may fall into third place behind Zac Efron’s “The Lucky One.”

The Huffington Post reports that “The Lucky One” earned $9 million during its debut and is slated to pull in $25 million by the end of the weekend.
