Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are reasserting themselves as country music’s most beloved power couple, as they make plans to head out on a world tour together, but not without lending their musical talents to television. McGraw and Hill will be coming to NBC’s The Voice to serve as Key Advisors, adding their insights to the already talented pool of hosts Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. This will be the first time The Voice has placed two people in the Key Advisor position. This will allow Faith and Tim to continue to work together, which is something the country artists have done throughout their relationship with record breaking results.
The Voice Brings Faith Hill And Tim McGraw Into The Mix
Unlike some other talent competition shows, The Voice works with contestants throughout the process to give each act their best shot at winning the competition. As E! News points out, the four coaches guide the competing artists with pointers about their performance strategies, but the coaches are usually assisted with this guidance by a Key Advisor. The Voice ‘s Season 11 finalists will benefit from an additional Key Advisor, as McGraw and Hill come to the position as a two-person unit.
“I think having the perspective of performing live in many different venues, from clubs to stadiums, will help us in working with the Voice artists this season,” Hill said, as she announced the news. “It’s important that they be able to connect with their audience.”
Mr. McGraw added that he finds the idea of helping the artists organize their live performances to be an exciting creative endeavor, as much for himself as for The Voice ‘s contestants. McGraw says he’s looking forward to helping the competitors grow as artists.
“I’m looking forward to working with the coaches to help the artists reach their potential,” Tim added.
Soul2Soul World Tour Will Bring Faith Hill And Tim McGraw To A Whopping 65 Cities
Taste of Country shared the news that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will be hitting the road together for an extensive 2017 world tour, which the couple first revealed at a recent Nashville concert in Ryman Auditorium. Faith Hill revealed that the planned tour would be a worldwide event.
“We are going back on the road, on tour! We are going to go from side to side, north to north, all the way around the globe!”
McGraw added that this tour has been in the planning stages for some time and that both Ms. Hill and himself have been excited about hitting the road on such an extensive tour.
“We’ve been looking to this for a long, long time,” McGraw said. “We got all y’all together just to tell y’all that, now we’re going home.”
This will be the third Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have gone out on a joined concert tour. In 2006, Hill and McGraw traveled the concert tour circuit with their “Soul2Soul II Tour,” but that was, by no means, the last time Faith and Tim have shared a stage. Performing individual concerts and a Las Vegas residency, McGraw and Hill have shared the stage a number of times to the delight of fans.
The 65-date event will kick off in New Orleans on April 7, 2017 and finish with a last show in New York City in October.
Pre-sale Soul2Soul concert tickets will be available on October 7 with general sale tickets hitting the market on October 14.
