Time to put your tin foil hats on — or maybe not, since theorists believe it makes it easier for the government “to hear us.”
Conspiracy theorists are once again making headlines in regards to the end of times — and this time they swear it’s the real deal.
The last time conspiracy theorists had the pleasure of brainwashing the entire planet, was in December of 2012, when the majority of the human population genuinely believed the world was coming to an end.
People had quit their jobs and sold their homes right before the 21st of December. But when the 21st had arrived, everyone was left in a state of manic disgust.
The Mayan 2012 apocalypse phenomena ended up becoming the biggest end of times prediction in human history. It was so immense, that the prediction spawned a successful blockbuster film and significantly rose travel and tourism.
But now, a new end of times prediction is causing mass anxiety and is also giving conspiracy theorists a new thumb to suck on.
What Is Going To Happen In September?
According to The Huffington Post , an enormous rocky asteroid is expected to impact the earth and wipe out life as we know it. The prediction comes from biblical theorists who believe that the end of the world is coming this September to a city near you.
To be exact, theorists believe the apocalypse is expected to transpire sometime between September 22-28, 2015.
This means that it’s only a couple of months away — not enough time to manifest itself into something as substantial as the Mayan apocalypse. However, it’s still not stopping conspiracy theorists from grabbing media coverage.
And not even NASA can fix this.
NASA was forced to respond to all the hoopla about earth’s upcoming “extinction.” The American space agency gave a statement.
“NASA knows of no asteroid or comet currently on a collision course with Earth, so the probability of a major collision is quite small. In fact, as best as we can tell, no large object is likely to strike the Earth any time in the next several hundred years.”
The Internet’s Reaction
The internet is basically going bananas over this new asteroid apocalypse prediction. The media are also reacting and speculating in response to the massive panic going around.
And of course, we can’t leave out the internet’s stylish responses to the September prediction.

Let’s just hope that this apocalypse myth doesn’t turn out to be as big as the Mayan one.
