Kyra Sedgwick is leaving the TNT hit series The Closer but that doesn’t mean fans of the show won’t be able to catch the rest of their favorite characters on the network, TNT announced on Wednesday that the show will receive a spinoff!
The new show, called Major Crimes is set to focus on Mary McDonnell’s character Captain Raydor.
According to the network they will air the final six episodes of The Closer next summer, allowing the spin-off to easily transition into it’s own show.
The Closer is still one of the top rated shows on cable TV which means a lot of effort should be put into Major Crimes.
