Jenelle Evans and her son Jace went to the beach for a horse ride earlier this week.
Since the Teen Mom 2 star was awarded visitation rights to her oldest son, 7-year-old Jace, in court in May, she has been spending tons of time outdoors with the child and on Friday, she took him to the beach and enjoyed a moment she had been looking forward to for a long time.
“Blessed this day finally got to happen,” Jenelle Evans wrote on Instagram on June 9. “[I] brought Jace to the place I’ve been wanting to for years. I’m so grateful and blessed my son can travel now and share the same experiences… starting now.”
Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara Evans, battled for custody of Jace in court at the end of last month following several years of back and forth over who the child should spend the majority of his time with. Although Evans lost her bid for custody of the boy, she did score a big win when a judge awarded her scheduled visitation of the child.
Jenelle Evans is also mom to 2-year-old Kaiser from her previous relationship with Nathan Griffith and 4-year-old Ensley from her current relationship with fiancé David Eason.
While David Eason wasn’t in the photo shared by Jenelle Evans on Friday, he was present during their beach visit and graciously took the photo for the longtime reality star.
David Eason also shared an additional photo of himself and his own daughter, Maryssa, who is often seen on Teen Mom 2 . In the photo, Eason is seen close up as his oldest child is seen riding a horse behind him.
“She sure is one awesome kid y’all!” he wrote in the caption.
Jenelle Evans and David Eason struck up a romance in late 2015 and announced they were expecting their first child together on Instagram less than one year later. In their posts, both parties revealed they were expecting a baby girl in January of this year. Then, on January 24, Ensley Jolie Eason arrived.
Weeks after Ensley’s birth, which was followed by the birth of Jenelle Evans’ co-star Chelsea Houska’s son one day later, she and Eason became engaged during a visit to the top of a mountain. Since then, they have been juggling their total of five kids as they prepare to get married later this year.
Jenelle Evans is also planning to go on vacation with her entire family in the coming months.
“My next visit with him is this upcoming weekend since his summer school break will begin. We are planning on taking the kids on vacation so that should be lots of fun!” Jenelle Evans explained to E! News at the end of last month.
Regarding her recent custody battle with Barbara Evans, the Teen Mom 2 star said that while it didn’t go exactly as she had hoped, she was happy about her new visitation schedule with Jace.
“I’m not restricted to when my mom says I can have my son anymore,” Jenelle Evans revealed to E! News , “and at the moment that’s all I care about. [I] just want to spend time with my son. He will be home one day but today wasn’t the day, sadly.”
Jenelle Evans and her family, including her fiancé and their kids, are currently in production on Teen Mom 2 Season 8. The series, which includes Briana DeJesus, Kailyn Lowry, Chelsea Houska, and Leah Messer, is set to air later this summer on MTV.
