Taylor Swift Is ‘Catering’ To Boyfriend Calvin Harris After His Car Accident

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Calvin Harris, was involved in a car accident last month in Los Angeles, and although he was not seriously injured, he has had a few obstacles to face. Luckily, he hasn’t had to face them alone.

On May 23, E! News shared details about Harris’ accident, claiming a teenage girl driving a Volkswagen Beetle crossed over the center divider and slammed into his SUV while driving along a narrow canyon road.

“He was examined by doctors and sustained a number of injuries. He has since been checked out of hospital and is now recovering,” a rep for Harris told the outlet at the time.

Around the same time, it was revealed that Taylor Swift immediately rushed to her boyfriend after hearing about the incident and vowed to stay by his side as he recovered.

“Calvin was being very coy on how he felt after the accident, he was roughed up and wasn’t feeling good and at first he really kept how bad he was feeling to himself, even softening his feelings to [Taylor Swift] as well,” a source told Hollywood Life on May 31. “With that being said, things are getting a lot better and he is starting to feel normal again and it is showing because he has started to work out again and he is getting back to his normal daily activities.”

Following his accident, Harris released a statement to fans on Twitter.

“Thank you so much for your messages and sorry to any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations,” he tweeted on May 27, also adding, “I’m feeling lucky and very grateful [right now].”

Although Harris didn’t mention Taylor Swift in his message, he is likely quite grateful for her support during what is surely a trying time.

According to another report, Taylor Swift has been quite bossy with Harris during his recovery — but only because she wants the best for her man.

“[Taylor Swift] has told Calvin that she doesn’t want him doing anything for the next few days, and when she sees him she will be waiting on him hand and foot,” a second source told Hollywood Life. “Calvin doesn’t want a fuss made, but she’s not going to give him any choice in that matter. She will be catering to him for everything he needs, even if that includes driving him around or making him a cup of tea. [Taylor] wants Calvin to make sure he really does take the time off needed to recover from the car crash because he’s always running at a hundred miles an hour and doesn’t know when to stop. Taylor will make sure, this time, that he puts his feet up and doesn’t lift a finger until he’s better.”

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris began dating in February 2015, and although they have been quite secretive about their romance, they’ve been spotted out and about a couple of times in New York City and Los Angeles. They’ve also been seen in several social media photos shared by one another and their friends.

While Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris haven’t spoken about their possible plans for the future, there have been a few reports regarding an engagement, and if that happens, Swift’s friends and family will likely be on board. As People Magazine revealed earlier this year, Harris has not only gotten close with Swift’s pals, including her BFF Karlie Kloss, he’s also spent time with her brother, Austin.
