T.I. and Tiny Harris’s breakup is becoming messier by the minute as new rumors emerge suggesting that the 41-year-old is taking advantage of romance rumors with her friend Floyd Mayweather to “piss off” her ex.
According to a recent report from Hollywood Life, a source close to the estranged couple revealed what Tameka “Tiny” Harris is really up to as the former couple maintains what the insider described as “an unhealthy obsession between them.”
“Tiny’s friendship with Floyd has always been a hot issue for T.I., and she loves to use it to fire him up,” the insider told the outlet.
“And, it’s always guaranteed to work — just the mention of Floyd’s name is enough to piss off Tip and get him worked up.”
As it turns out, arguments between T.I. and Tiny can easily be sparked when Floyd is involved especially after recent rumors suggesting that he serves as Tiny’s “support system,” based on a previous report from the outlet.
“Tiny’s been leaning on Floyd through much of her split with [T.I.]. Floyd’s been a great beacon of support for her,” another source reportedly revealed at the time.
According to the report published on May 23, Floyd had been advising Tiny to walk away from the relationship and gave her a generous proposal that she can’t refuse.
“He knows that it will break Tiny if she has to sit there with Tip and actually discuss dividing up their assets in a divorce,” the source said.
“That’s why he’s telling her to walk away from T.I. and their money, because he’ll take care of Tiny and her kids.”
But how did the undefeated boxing champ get involved in the messy T.I. and Tiny divorce in the first place? As it turns out, Floyd and T.I. already had a history that goes way back to 2014.
Three years ago, the rapper and the boxer had an altercation inside a Fatburger which was caused by photos of Tiny and Floyd posted on Instagram, per a report from MTV .
Clearing up the issue in a now-deleted post in NecoleBitchie , Floyd said that T.I. got worked up after the photo emerged but that it was uncalled for since he and Tiny are only friends.
“I been knowing Tiny before T.I.,” Mayweather said three years prior to T.I. and Tiny’s divorce.
“I’ve never slept with her, I never kissed her, never touched her in no inappropriate way. Her friend Shekinah wanted to come to the [May 4th] fight, she brought Tiny with her…. After that, I guess she put a picture up on Instagram of her at the fight so I guess he [T.I.] was feeling some type of way.”
He then narrated how the altercation with the rapper went, saying, “I was basically like, ‘Listen. I’m letting you know I ain’t got…me and your wife don’t have nothing…if you think so.’”
“I’m eating at Fatburger and next thing you know, he walk in talking about we need to talk again,” he added.
MTV noted that the brawl may have been fueled by insecurities in T.I. and Tiny’s relationship that has been set off by another photo posted by his wife. This time, the photo in question involved Floyd’s daughter whom Tiny dubbed as her “new boo.”
Fast forward to May 2017, the 36-year-old rapper is now accusing his estranged wife of cheating on him with the 40-year-old boxer after their breakup that was featured on their VH1 reality show, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle .
The two have officially broken up after they threw cheating allegations at each other, with Tiny reminding T.I. about how he cheated on her with “someone she hired” and the rapper telling his wife about how she “got a house somewhere else,” per a report from BET.
