It was a normal workday at the Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital in North Carolina until a white car slammed into the building. There were employees working at the front desk while two dogs were also resting in the front office. One of the employees was attending to a customer who was making a purchase. Suddenly, a white car crashed into the building. The incident happened on March 15, 2017.

The driver of the vehicle stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. As a result, the car hit the manager of the store, throwing her across the room. Meanwhile, the sleeping dogs were trapped under the debris and remained unharmed from the crashing vehicle. 

Fortunately, no severe injuries resulted from the accident. The manager managed to extricate herself from the wreckage and immediately dialed 911. Clinic owner Dawn Todd remarked, “We have four employees who work in that space. Luckily, we have two of them who were out running errands. One of our employees was actually hit by a car while she was working. She’s OK. Everyone is OK.”

Franklin Fire Rescue also updated about the accident on X, “All involved are okay.” The video of the incident has over 7 million viewers on social media. Everyone was thankful that people and animals did not get hurt in the crash. One YouTube user posted, “I was so stressed for the lady because I knew she was getting hit.”

 

One more posted, “I can only imagine her thoughts when she looked to her side a second before the car came crashing towards her.” A viewer praised the brave woman, “The lady got hit, thrown across the room and almost buried under rubble, and she STILL got up and called 911. What a trooper. Mad respect.”

Another viewer noted, “The client drove over 4 sleeping dogs and drove into the Manager. You can see everyone desperately trying to free the trapped dogs under the car and extinguish the fire. Thankfully, all the animals and the staff are ok.”

Referring to the incident video, Todd appreciated the staff’s response time during the emergency. The client who was inside the car also escaped outside the building and did not get hurt. However, this was not recorded on the camera.
