Model and actress Stephanie Seymour is clarifying statements that she made early this month in an interview with Vanity Fair regarding Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.

In April, former model Rebecca Romijn said that Kendall and Gigi are “not true supermodels,” calling them “social media stars.” Later, however, Rebecca tagged Kendall and Gigi in a tweet and said that she never said anything bad about the two. “Don’t believe the #clickbait. Never talked smack about you. Both amazing & beautiful,” she wrote.

At the amfAR Inspiration Gala that happened recently, Stephanie Seymour was asked if she agreed with what Romijn said regarding Kendall and Gigi.

“They are completely different than we were. Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title.”

Stephanie Seymour said that Kendall and Gigi are beautiful girls, but they should have their own title. When asked what they should be called, Stephanie answered:

“B*****s of the moment! That would be a good title for them.”

Kendall Jenner didn’t take Seymour’s statement well, and she decided to defend herself and took to her app to say what she thinks about Stephanie Seymour calling her and Gigi “b*****s of the moment.”

“No one is trying to steal Stephanie Seymour’s thing, or trying to be her.”

“I guarantee you that she didn’t imagine someone so publicly shaming her daughter when she made those comments about us being ‘b*****s of the moment.’”

“If people want to call Gigi and I supermodels now, it doesn’t take anything away from supermodels of the past.”

Yolanda Hadid of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , Gigi Hadid’s mother, who herself was once a model, also defended Gigi against Stephanie Seymour’s remarks. In an interview with TMZ , Yolanda had something to say about Seymour .

“It’s sad to see some of these beautiful semi-retired supermodels, who are mothers themselves now, feel the need to publicly put down someone else’s daughter.”

Yolanda Hadid also said that Stephanie Seymour should instead support the new generation of models today instead of saying bad things about them.

Now, Stephanie Seymour is talking again, and she is clarifying the comments that she said during the Vanity Fair interview. The 47-year-old model said that she decided to “address rumours,” something she usually doesn’t do, because people were hurt.

On her Instagram account, where she posted a picture of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, Seymour said that in the interview, she mentioned no names at all.

“There were no names mentioned, and NO ill intent involved. A supermodel is a supermodel. I respect and admire all these women in my industry, in particular Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.”

Stephanie Seymour also said that she knows how hardworking supermodels are, and she said bravo to Kendall and Gigi for being successful in the modeling industry. She also tagged both the models. As of writing, neither Gigi nor Kendall has responded to Seymour’s post.
