Siri, the voice recognition software built-in to the iPhone 4S, has proven useful to a lot of users. Thanks to it’s ever expanding AI and access to “the cloud”, owners can ask a wide range of questions including setting new appointments, an alarm, send an email, text, and much more.

While users can have it send an email or text, one request that’s been heard quite a bit is the ability to post via Facebook or Twitter. Thanks to a hack , you can at least now send to Twitter via the native client.

Now, one can already use Siri to send a tweet, but it requires you to allowing your Twitter account to accept tweets through text message and then sending a text message to that number. While a bit annoying, it however gets the job done. With this new hack, people can bypass that step and use the official Twitter app.

Currently, the only downside is that the feature only works on an iPhone 4S that has been jailbreaked . A part-time iOS hacker known as InfectionFX, whipped up the tweak after seeing if his Twitter followers were interested in the feature. A demo video below shows the hack and it looks to work pretty well.

The hack should be available in the Cydia app store by the end of the week. Eventually, Apple will likely introduce the ability to do this and easily post to other apps, but for the time being, we have people who want certain features before then and are willing to build them.

What are your thoughts on Siri? Worth the investment for an iPhone 4S?
