Instagram influencer and comedian Laura Clery shared details of a horrific experience she had in her kitchen. On May 22, her 600-pound fridge tripped and pinned her against the counter. She shared the videos from the night of the accident after she called 911.
The text on the video read, “As a single mom, my biggest fear came true. I was very seriously hurt and stuck while home alone with my two young kids. Thank God I was able to call 911.” In the video, she can be heard asking the first responders if she broke anything.

After the fridge fell on her, she could not breathe but managed to call for help. She said, “I genuinely didn’t know if I was getting out of that alive.” The paramedics assured her they were taking her to the trauma center to get checked.
Clery did not have any serious injuries; however, her back was strained. She added, “My body is wrecked.” However, expressing her gratitude, she wrote on Facebook, “I’m feeling so deeply grateful that we’re all OK and also not OK.”
The fridge allegedly fell on her because of poor installation, and she slammed the contractors for the mistake. In her Patreon post, she further explained that her son climbed on the fridge while playing, and she saw the fridge move. So she decided to adjust the fridge’s position, thinking it would be easy. But at that time, the fridge fell on her and left her stuck against the counter.

Her fans hoped for her quick recovery. One user posted, “Just opened the app and this is the first thing I saw WG! Hope you’re still good, though. I love you LONGTIME too. But all trips and pins of 600lbs and all…I’m glad you’re ok.” Another one added, “Ugh. Glad she is OK. Filming this is ridiculous.
Several Instagram followers were confused that she was filming while being in pain. One user noted, “Imagine this happening, and having to make a video for clicks immediately.” Clery also posted an AI video of her refrigerator speaking to a reporter. In the video, the refrigerator is apologizing after the accident and claiming he loves Laura and keeps her leftovers inside.
Clery may have intended the video to be a funny dig at her accident, but her fans did not feel the same. They slammed her for using AI to make content. One follower commented, “Long time follower. I unfollow every account I see using AI. This one makes me sad. It was a good run.”
Another one added, “AI takes drinking water from people. Let’s not.” One more posted, “Weird that you used AI for this video.” “AI is killing the planet, Laura.. do better,” wrote one more. Several comments agreed on the excessive use of AI and claimed to be disappointed with the comedian.
