Seth Rogen is used to criticism for his typical gross out comedies, but today he was scorned by an unusual source… North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. An unofficial spokesperson for Kim Jong-un said that even though he expects the tiny dictator to watch the film The Interview , he is straight up pissed off over the assassination scene where he is killed.
The Interview is an upcoming release featuring Seth Rogen and James Franco as a pair of tabloid journalists who score an interview with Kim Jong-un and then are recruited by the CIA to assassinate the dictator.
The Telegraph is reporting that the supreme leader was very unhappy about the film. Kim Myong-chol, executive director of The Centre for North Korea-US Peace, who is usually referred to as the regime’s unofficial spokesperson, told the Telegraph :
“There is a special irony in this storyline as it shows the desperation of the U.S. government and American society. A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the U.S. has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine, and let us not forget who killed [President John F.] Kennedy — Americans. In fact, President [Barack] Obama should be careful in case the U.S. military wants to kill him as well.”
Kim then heaped scorn on the entire American film industry saying that the films were racked with violence and assassinations. He said, ironically, that he prefers British films like the James Bond series (which is known to have no violence or assassinations).
Kim said:
“James Bond is a good character and those films are much more enjoyable.”
The North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un should be used to his family being portrayed negatively in American films. The creators of the hit television show South Park had also produced a hit movie called Team America where a group of American warriors fought valiantly to stop Kim Jong-un’s father, Kim Jong-il, from destroying the world. One can only wonder what the little dictator thought when he saw that one? At the same time, Kim Jong-un has been known to show very little love for close family members as he reportedly ordered the execution of his uncle, who was a high ranking official in the North Korean communist party.
