Seal took some time this week amid his announced divorce from wife Heidi Klum to sing on the Ellen DeGeneres show and the song he chose to highlight was “Let’s Stay Together.”
The Al Green classic includes the lyrics:
“Baby, let’s, let’s stay together / Loving you whether, whether times are good or bad, happy or sad.”
It’s not clear at this time whether Seal was attempting to make amends with his supermodel wife or simply wanted to showcase his cover which is features on his upcoming album. Then again there are plenty of other songs he could have chose to sing.

In any case “Let’s Stay Together” is getting a lot of love over the last week, even President Obama sang his own short rendition of the song while appears at the famous Apollo Theater.
The song choice for seal comes just after he and Klum released the following joint statement:
“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
