Scott Brown, the former Massachusetts Senator who was ousted last election season (and is entertaining as all get-out on Twitter ), might consider jumping the border and running for a Senate seat again in New Hampshire.
During a Fox News Sunday discussion, Brown declined to comment on rumors that he may run for a U.S. Senate seat once again in 2014, though in the state of New Hampshire. Though he said he hasn’t ruled out the possibility, Republican strategist Karl Rove seemed thrilled with the possibility of another Brown candidacy.
Brown was elected in 2010 in a special election to fill the seat of U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy, who had passed away. He ran for a full Senate term in 2012, but lost to Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren .
Sunday host Chris Wallace asked Brown if he was considering a bid in New Hampshire, where he would face Senator (and former governor) Jeanne Shaheen, who was first elected in 2008.
“Yeah, I’m not going to comment on that, obviously,” Brown replied. “I think it’s important to continue to do my job here and challenge people to do things better.”
“Nothing’s off the table and nothing’s on the table,” he continued.
Since his loss, Brown has worked for Fox News as a political commentator . Whether he’s considering a run or not, Rove added that Brown would, at the very least, qualify for a New Hampshire run if he wanted it.
“This guy is a ninth-generation New Hampshirian,” Rove said. “That’s the dirty little secret. His mother lives there.”
