Scarlett Johansson sported a curve-hugging dress for the premiere of her sci-fi flick Under the Skin at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week.
The Lost in Translation star wasn’t afraid to show off a little cleavage in her black off-the-shoulder gown. In addition to a beautiful diamond necklace, the actress sported a sizable rock on her finger. Johansson was recently engaged to boyfriend Romain Dauriac .
Directed by Jonathan Glazer, Under the Skin tells the story of an alien who uses her sexy appearance to seduce unsuspecting guys. Scarlett Johansson portrays the murderous extraterrestrial in question, a creature who slowly but surely works her way through Scotland.
The film is loosely based on the novel of the same name by author Michel Faber. However, Telegraph critic Robbie Collin explains that the film uses the book’s premise as a loose framework for its own story. Judging from his review, Under the Skin was definitely designed to make moviegoers squirm.
During her recent conversation with Harper’s Bazaar UK , Scarlett Johansson revealed that she wanted to have a family at some point down the road. According to the actress, she’s currently focused on developing a very “fun” cinematic career .
“Eventually I want to have a family, and that would be my focus, but right now I’m having fun with it. There have been times in my career where I’ve struggled to find… I was stuck for a while. It was more difficult, maybe, to find the right thing to do. Now I’m enjoying a really productive, creative period,” she told the magazine.
Under the Skin isn’t the only film the actress has completed in recent days. In addition to playing the love interest in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s highly-anticipated directorial debut Don Jon , she provided the voice of Samantha in Spike Jonze’s Her .
