Scarlett Johansson certainly has a few ideas about who would make a great President of the United States. According to the actress, Hillary Clinton has what it takes to lead the nation.
The Avengers star recently sat down with the folks at Harper’s Bazaar UK to discuss life, career, and politics. In Johansson’s humble opinion, Clinton would be a great choice .
“I think Hillary Clinton would make a wonderful president. I think we could only benefit from having someone in office who has been a mother; women have a different perspective and appreciation of humanity because of that maternal instinct,” the actress explained to the magazine.
When asked if she had any plans to enter politics, Scarlett Johansson said such a decision would be a bit of stretch. However, she wasn’t willing to rule out the possibility.
“But who knows? I don’t limit the possibilities. If I have more time, I may be able to lend a bigger voice to politics. I never close the door on those kinds of things,” the actress said.
Although Scarlett Johansson remains political, she’s currently setting her sights on developing a very “fun” cinematic career. The Lost in Translation star even put a husband and kids on the back burner for the time being.
“Eventually I want to have a family, and that would be my focus, but right now I’m having fun with it. There have been times in my career where I’ve struggled to find… I was stuck for a while. It was more difficult, maybe, to find the right thing to do. Now I’m enjoying a really productive, creative period,” she told the magazine.
Johansson is currently gearing up for the release of her sci-flick Under the Skin . Helmed by Sexy Beast director Jonathan Glazer, the film tells the story of an alien who uses sex to bait her prey. The first unsettling trailer for the movie resides below.
