Sara Gilbert and her wife, Linda Perry, are now the proud parents of a baby boy. The Talk co-host announced that she was pregnant on-air, and her co-stars immediately declared that they planned to consider the little one a member of the family. So when they discovered the news that the baby had been born, The Talk host Julie Chen made the announcement a key part of the show on Monday, reported CBS News.
The little boy was born on Saturday, and he’s been named Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry. Sara and Linda married Linda in 2014.

In addition to The Talk , Sara guest-starred on TV shows after becoming a well-known actress as a child on Roseanne . Their little boy also has a chance of following in Linda’s footsteps and becoming a singer, because she both sang for 4 Non Blondes and produced hits for Adam Lambert and Christina Aguilera.
Rhodes makes the third child for Sara, who has two children from a previous relationship, according to People . Her daughter, Sawyer, is seven-and-a-half, while her son, Levi, is 10-years-old.
When Sara announced her pregnancy on The Talk , it was the result of a special week for the co-hosts to face their fears. But because Gilbert’s dare involved a physical challenge that might have endangered her unborn baby, she had to reveal her pregnancy early on the show, reported Yahoo Celebrity .

“I really do believe in facing your fears and doing things that make you uncomfortable, but I actually can’t do the dare because I’m pregnant,” announced Sara through happy tears.
Her friends and co-stars immediately became ecstatic, and followed up on social media.
“Sara’s pregnant!!!! There’s a new ‘Talk’ baby on the way!” posted Julie Chen.
“Congrats to Sara and Linda!” tweeted Sharon Osbourne.
And co-host Sheryl Underwood took it one step further, proclaiming herself the Grandma of the baby.
“Congratulations @THEsaragilbert and @RealLindaPerry I’m about to be a Grandmama #TheTalk”
The Talk co-hosts also attended their wedding.
“It was the most beautiful expression of love that I had ever seen,” declared Underwood. “And the most fun I have ever had, so I thank you for letting us be a part of that.”
Both the wedding and the baby come at a time when LGBT activists are seeking acceptance , as the Inquisitr reported. Glee , for example, has been praised for showing the challenges faced by characters such as gay teen Kurt (played by Chris Colfer) and bixsexual Santana (played by Naya Rivera). Most recently, the show featured a transition from female to male for Coach Beiste, played by Dot Marie Jones.
