Samsung will debut a new Smart Hub interface at CES 2013. According to the company, the updated system will feature a new initial screen design that divides a range of different accessible content offerings into various sections. Samsung says the redesign is aimed at making navigation through its system easier for all customers.

Content found via the Samsung Smart Hub will be divided into the following five sections:

“On TV”, “Movies TV Shows” for VOD content, “Apps”, “Social”, and “Photos, Videos Music.”

On top of those sections, customers will also have the option to “flip” between five pages at the top of the screen.

On the official Samsung blog post , the company writes:

“One of the most anticipated features is the “Flipping” function that allows you to browse through the five screens with Samsung’s unique motion control function. It might remind you of flipping through the pages of a book, and it provides you an easy way to select your program of choice more easily and with more fun. Just by accessing Smart Hub, you can enjoy all the contents of live TV, movie, internet, and games all in one place.”

The Inquisitr will be reporting live from CES 2013 where we’ll showcase the Samsung Smart Hub redesign.

Do you think Smart TV interfaces are becoming better at anticipating the navigation requirements of its users, or do they still have a long way to go?
