Robert Downey Jr. has been doing the talk show circuit lately to promote his new movie, “The Avengers,” and last night he stopped by “The Tonight Show” to talk to Jay Leno. Downey talked about his new movie, but he also gave the audience a look at his baby boy Exton.
Downey pretended to be reluctant at first saying:
“I would get in huge trouble. I want to, but I have to exercise just a little restraint. I mean, if you want me to I will.”
Well the audience wanted him to and he showed off a picture of his wife Susan and his 3-month old son Exton.
Downey tried to stop with just one picture but was persuaded to show another.
Downey said:
“He’s so darn cute, isn’t he? You get one, that’s it. Unless, of course, you want to see the other one.”
E! Online reports that Downey Jr. also did talked about his new son with Ellen Degeneres. Downey said:
“He’s smiling and talking a little bit. It’s incredible…. Well, I mean, you know. I think he is. I go, ‘What are we doing? What’s happening?’ And he goes (makes noise). I go, really? Kind of like a bad date with somebody who is really small. It’s great, though. In this instance, it is a great date.”
Here’s a video of Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson on “The Ellen Show.” No mention of Exton in the clip but they do give Ellen her own action figure.
