Rihanna and Travis Scott may have ignited breakup reports last week, but it looks Rihanna and Travis have silenced the split rumors with a casual date night out in NYC on Thursday.
Rihanna was spotted showing her support for rumored boyfriend Travis Scott at the rapper’s concert in Brooklyn on Thursday before the duo made their way to NYC hotspot Up&Down nightclub just hours later.
According to TMZ , Rihanna and Travis Scott arrived at the venue separately, but Travis wasn’t far behind Rihanna’s paparazzi-filled arrival. According to fans who were also inside the trendy nightclub during Rihanna and Scott’s arrival, the duo was spotted drinking and dancing along to the music together before departing the club separately hours later.
While Rihanna and Travis Scott have never officially confirmed the nature of their relationship, the duo’s latest public appearance comes just days after sources close to Rihanna told Urban Islandz that Rihanna and Travis Scott are no longer an item .
According to Rihanna’s sources, Rihanna ended her casual romance with Travis in order to focus her attention on gearing up for the release of her eighth studio album, Anti .
Rihanna’s source alleges that while the “B**** Better Have My Money” singer’s romance with Travis Scott was a “no strings” type of relationship, Rihanna ended things with Travis because he became “too needy.”
“[Travis] wanted her every second of the day and even wanted her to travel with him for his show,” Rihanna’s source explains. “While all the need for her attention is flattering it eventually became too much for her to handle. He is just too needy so she broke things off with him.”
Rihanna and Travis Scott first heated up dating rumors earlier this summer after they were photographed sharing a kiss during Rihanna’s NYFW after party.

While Rihanna later dispelled rumors of her budding relationship with Travis Scott on Instagram by claiming that she’s still single, sources close to Rihanna later revealed to E! News that the “duo is in fact a couple.”
“Travis and Rihanna are dating, officially,” a source close to Rihanna explained to the site. “It’s already very serious. He’s very into her.”
Similarly, an eyewitness who spotted the duo attending the same nightclub months prior admitted that Travis Scott and Rihanna were “all over each other” and that “it was very clear they were together.”
Rihanna and Travis Scott furthered fueled the dating reports weeks later when Travis made an appearance in Rihanna’s PUMA campaign for her creeper sneaker, leading fans to believe that the duo may be turning their romance into a working relationship as well.
Travis Scott appeared to put his support behind the Rihanna collaboration rumors after he changed his Instagram bio to not only promote his new album, Rodeo , but to promote Rihanna’s impending Anti album as well.
“RODEO OUT NOW…ANTI SOONER,” Travis Scott wrote on his Instagram bio weeks ago, further fueling speculation that Scott may appear as a feature on Rihanna’s new album, while also adding to the hype surrounding a release date for Rihanna’s Anti album.
While Rihanna and Travis Scott remain mum regarding the nature of their relationship, Scott previously tried to dodge questions about his rumored romance with Rihanna during an interview with ESPN ‘s Highly Questionable , via MTV , in September.
When asked if his mom approves of his growing relationship with Rihanna, Travis Scott replied, “Um, yeah, you know, she calls me about all types of stuff she sees on TV. She’s an amazing artist. Her album is amazing.”
