Just two days after Blizzard announced that World of Warcraft will be going free-to-play up until level 20, Trion Worlds is firing back by offering a limited time deal on the Rift client.
After completing your seven-day free trial, you’ll be able to upgrade your account to the full retail version for only $4.99 for an unspecified limited amount of time. That may sound like a good deal, but do keep in mind that the $4.99 does not include a “complimentary” free month, meaning you’ll have to throw down an extra $15 if you plan to actually play it.
That’s not the only deal to be had, though. You can also upgrade your trial account with a “collector’s edition” key for $9.99, or purchase the digital standard edition and digital collector’s edition for $19.99 and $24.99 respectively.
