It was a big weekend for the cast of Boy Meets World. Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong both got married this weekend.
You can read more about Danielle Fishel’s marriage , and it’s ridiculous backlash , here. But for the moment, let’s talk about Rider Strong.
The actor, who played Shawn Hunter on the hit TGIF show, got married to his girlfriend Alexandra Barreto on Sunday afternoon in Oregon. The Huffington Post reports that Strong was wearing a Rag & Bone suit as he watched his bride, in a Nicole Miller gown, walk down the aisle.
Strong’s wedding had a summer camp theme and the bride and groom invited their guests to take part in a variety of games (think tug-of-war, bobbing for apples, and obstacle courses). Wedding guests were also over to spend the night in a series of bunk beds.
Strong told ABC: “I’m incredibly lucky to be getting married to my best friend and partner-in-crime, Alexandra Barreto… It’s going to be a camp-themed weekend with everyone sleeping in bunks, a ropes course, games, a talent show … let’s hope it doesn’t rain too much.”
Unfortunately, most of the Boy Meets World cast couldn’t attend Strong’s wedding. Why? Well, they were busy attending Danielle Fishel’s ceremony.
Strong told Us Magazine : “I am missing some of my Boy Meets World family… That was my fault, [Danielle] chose the date first. On the bright side, after I mentioned my new favorite band, Typhoon, on Twitter, they offered to come play at our wedding! So grateful.”

Rider Strong didn’t have the cast of Boy Meets World at his wedding, but hopefully he gets a chance to reunite with them soon. Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage have been hard at work on the spin-off Girl Meets World and Rider Strong fans are hoping that Shawn Hunter will make a cameo in an upcoming episode.
