On Tuesday, Capcom announced that Resident Evil 6 will soon be getting a fresh helping of downloadable content that adds in three new modes.

The Resident Evil 6 DLC adds in three new modes: Predator, Survivors, and Onslaught. Each mode will be available for purchase individually at a price point of 320 Microsoft Points each ($4) or bundled together for 720 Microsoft Points ($9).

Capcom says that the DLC will release first on Xbox 360 on December 18. No word on when, or even if, the PC and PlayStation 3 versions will be able to get in on the action.

Here’s more on what each of the new modes offer, courtesy of Capcom:

Predator supports two to six players and has one player take control of B.O.W Ustanak in opposition to human characters. Survivors has a similar bent in that as human characters are kileld off they can return as monster enemies; the last team or player standing is the winner, and again, two to six players are supported. Onslaught is a two player mode against waves of enemies. In a Puyo Puyo like twist, performing combos will deliver extra enemies to the opposition’s game.

Day-and-date with the release of the DLC, Capcom announced that Resident Evil 6 will be getting a free patch introduces a new difficulty, co-op for Ada Wong’s campaign, an option to tweak the in-game camera for “greater field of view,” and the option to mix and match language audio and subtitles.

Although the PlayStation 3 version won’t be getting the DLC on that date, Capcom says that it will, at least, be getting the patch.
