Remember when the meme “very demure, very mindful” went viral on social media and became the catchphrase of the day? People couldn’t get enough of Jools Lebron’s humorous perspective on how women should dress and act in the office, which made her an internet star.
The term was used in the White House and was imitated by celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Khloe Kardashian, and Jennifer Lopez.When content producer and self-described “fierce diva” Jools released the satirical video with its catchy four-word hook, the TikTok craze took off.
Jools Lebron remarked, sporting dramatic winged eyeliner, blush, and braids in the front of her hair: “You see how I apply my makeup for work? Very modest. Very careful. I don’t have a green cut crease when I go to work. When I go to work, I don’t look like a clown. I’m not very active. I pay close attention at work.
The 32-year-old content producer has since talked about how the TikTok video “changed her life.” To date, the video has had over 55 million views. Jools Lebron recently disclosed that she used her profits to purchase a new home in Chicago. Earlier this month, she also took a flight to New York City to accept a Clio Award.
Jools expressed her awe at her crazy journey in a post from the event. “Just here wondering how my entire life changed from a TikTok video,” she exclaimed. Jools, who currently has over two million followers, said in another TikTok video shot in her hotel room that showed the breathtaking view of the New York skyline: “When you say demure on TikTok once and now this is your life.”

Others commented, with one jokingly saying, “Don’t hate the player, hate the game,” and another referring to her as “our demure queen” by sandwich chain Subway. “This is one of my favorite fairytales,” a different follower commented. You are deserving of everything. An additional statement was made: “Social media is so powerful.”
Jools Lebron, a transgender person, also talked about how her achievement aided in her ability to get therapy. She said: “Maybe you should make the videos because one day I was playing cashier and making videos on my break and now I’m flying across country to host events and I’m going to be able to finance the rest of my transition.”

In a separate video, overwhelmed by the whirlwind of fame, Jools spilled her feelings: “Everyone’s asking me how I feel about what’s going on and I’m just so overwhelmed. Like I feel so grateful, like I just landed in L.A, and I’m just so overwhelmed. I had so much to do as soon as I got here. But I’m living my f***ing dream.”
Since her lifestyle approach acquired popularity online, the content creator has been extremely busy. She has had the chance to collaborate with well-known companies, go to events for the cosmetics brand Patrick Ta in New York, and work with the Kombucha company GT’s Synergy in Los Angeles.
