Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Avoiding The Queen, But For How Long?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are yet to make an appearance before the queen because of the actor’s busy schedule. The same could even take much longer as the two lovebirds continue to avoid the public, having never been pictured together.

Even as the public continues to wait for the first photo of the two lovebirds, one cannot dispute that there is something brewing, Markle having been pictured close to Kensington Palace last week. While rumors of the two dating emerged last month, it has emerged that a connection between the two could have begun as early as last year.

While playing a rapid-fire game with Hello! magazine in October last year, the Suits actress was asked to choose between Prince Harry and Prince William where she responded, “I don’t know,” while laughing, and later on said “Harry? Sure!” claims E! News.

Little did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle know, months later, they would be making headlines all over the world as they go to great lengths to hide their romance. The two have already crisscrossed the Atlantic as they look for any available opportunity from their busy schedules to spend quality time together. The icing on the cake and a confirmation that wedding bells could be on the horizon would be the two being photographed together and most importantly a visit with the queen.

The 35-year-old actress was in London over the weekend, but has since flown back to Canada as she continues to film legal drama Suits. There were reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would make their first appearance at an England rugby match. That did not happen and US Magazine reports that the same was never going to happen given that the Royal was on official duty as the Vice Patron of Rugby Football Union.

Daily Mail reports that a meeting with the queen did not happen because the actress was on a mini break from her acting commitments. However, it followed Harry’s own trip to Toronto during the Halloween weekend, an indication that the two heartthrobs are getting tighter by the day.

Prince Harry is just one year shy of turning the same age that his father was when he married his mother, Lady Diana Spencer, in 1981. With his older brother already married, pressure is already building for the fifth to the throne to quit the bachelor’s club and rise to the occasion.

Harry has been vocal in the recent past of how difficult it is for him to date a girl without evoking public scrutiny. However, he is slowly coming to terms with the fact he will always be under the limelight given his position in the royal family. Last week, the Prince issued a statement that might as well have fueled global interest on rumors he is dating Ms. Markle, according to Sydney Morning Herald.

In the statement, the Prince came to the defense of his new love, seeing the amount of abuse and harassment that has been directed to her ever since it emerged they are dating.

“Some of this has been very public—the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.”

While no one deserves such treatment, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have to get used to the fact that it can only get worse as they continue dating. The only concern now is whether the Suit’s star will crumble as Princes Diana did on being tossed before the world’s media.

Markle has made a career for herself in the public limelight as an actress with success. Given her experience in front of cameras and the red carpet, she should be able to handle any public scrutiny thrown at her. However, there will always be a price that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have to pay if they are to see the other side of walking down the aisle and having a family.
