A company called LevelUp is targeting a very specific demographic with its next product: namely, people who like Rock Band and ottomans.
While some may call this Rock Band -themed ottoman a sad indictment of gaming’s obsession with pointless accessories for E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G , others with closets bursting with fake plastic instruments will see it as a godsend.
Either way, it is what it is, and that is an ottoman deliberately designed to hold instruments used for the Rock Band s and Guitar Hero s of this world. Such is the anticipated demand for this, LevelUp is releasing two versions: ‘Back in Black’ for $89.99 (plain black) and ‘Skulls and Snakes’ for $179.99 (as seen above).
Each edition will store two guitars under the lid using Velcro grips, while a dismantled drum kit can sit in the bottom, along with drumsticks and mikes (both of which also have dedicated compartments). Yeesh.
There are probably more cost-effective ways to keep your home clutter-free, but if you fancy either of these, you’ll find the ‘Snakes and Skulls’ version at JC Penney, and the ‘Back in Black’ number at Costco.
