When digital cameras and WiFi printers began taking over the photography landscape we stopped hearing very much about instant photo manufacturer Polaroid , now the company has shot back with a modern-day version of its camera. Known as the Z2300 Instant Digital Camera the device offers instant photos from digital camera shots instead of the company’s original analog format.

The camera features a small onboard ZINK Technology printer which allows users to take a photo, preview the shot and then print small 2×3-inch photos.

To capture photos Polaroid relies on a rather small 10-megapixel sensor while providing picture takes with a 3-inch color LCD. The Polaroid Z2300 Instant Digital Camera also offers a built-in speaker for audio playback of recorded videos.

The camera also offers an SD card slot that is expandable up to 32GB for plenty of photo storage.

If you’re worried about the quality of the camera’s printed photos you can rest assured that the full-color prints are smudge-proof, water resistant and tear resistant. The photos also include a stick back for posting on physical objects.

Each photo takes under one minute to print and if you choose your photos can be posted directly to your Facebook account.

The Z2300 will be available in both black and white and the device is already available for pre-order at a cost of $159. Polaroid includes 10 sheets of premium ZINK photo paper while each additional package will come at a cost of $25 for 50 or packs of 30 which will run you $15.

Are you willing to give Polaroid another shot at instant photo printing success or has digital photography killed the company’s bread and butter product?
