Despite rampant rumors that the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore will be replaced for the next season, original cast member Pauly D says that isn’t the case, promising that “The Situation” and the rest of the crew will be in place when the show begins filming for a sixth season.
“I don’t think it’s true,” said Pauly D, ” I don’t think you can replace us because we all have our own personalities and it’s not replaceable.”
Pauly D is currently working as the resident DJ at the Palms Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, while the rest of the crew for the most part have signed on for new MTV spin-offs that could put their shooting schedules in direct conflict with a new season, although Pauly D did not address that issue.
When asked about shooting in Italy Pauly D said “Oh, it was beautiful,” while adding, “Amazing women, amazing food, it was a great place to visit.”
MTV has recently said there was no plans to recast the show.
