Though we are a bit late to the party, NCIS star Pauley Perrette and boyfriend Thomas Arklie are engaged to be married, reports Zap2it.com.
Perrette shared the happy news with fans on her Twitter account, revealing that Arklie, an ex-British marine who is now giving acting a whirl, recently popped the question.
“Me and my Marine are totally engaged now!” the 42-year-old actress tweeted on Nov. 19.
Though she is smitten, Perrette vowed that she and Arklie – who she lovingly referes to as “most beautiful kind bad ass man on earth!” – will not officially tie the knot until California’s gay marriage ban is overturned.
On screen, Perette has played Abby Sciuto – a wacky yet brilliant forensics expert – in NCIS for nine seasons. Any fan of the show will most likely recognize her characters from NCIS’s sister series JAG and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Prior to her most recent engagement, Perrette, notorious for a string of failed flings in the past, was previously married to actor/singer Coyote Shivers for four years, but the couple split in 2004.
Following her divorce, Pauley was engaged to cameraman Michael Bosman before the pair split in 2008.
