Universal Studios Japan is seeing phenomenal anime One Piece coming to their live stage this coming summer. The One Piece Premiere Summer 2015 live show will be performed at the Waterworld stage at Universal Studios Japan in Konohana-ku, Osaka City, this summer.
Avid and starting One Piece fans should hold onto their seats for a while, as Anime News Network reports that the One Piece live show will premiere on June 3. However, there are tons of opportunities to catch the One Piece show, with at least 73 show times running until the end of September.
Tickets for the One Piece Premiere Summer 2015 live show will be available to the public on May 25. However, those holding a Universal VIP Annual Pass or Annual Platinum Pass can purchase their tickets as early as May 11. The One Piece Premiere Summer 2015 official website will also pre-sell a limited number of tickets for the live show between May 15-21.
One Piece fans who are excited for the event will have to save up a very reasonable amount, as Crunchyroll News reports that the One Piece live show tickets will range from 1,980 yen (around $16) to 4,980 yen (around $41), depending on the seat placement. The tickets to the One Piece live show are purchased in addition to the regular park admission fee.
The One Piece Premiere live show is part of Universal Studio Japan’s bigger event, the One Piece Premiere Summer event. Also held last year, the One Piece Premiere Summer event holds a dozen of specialty merchandise shops, life-sized One Piece statues to pose with, face painting, different One Piece -themed food, and even water gun battles.
The theme for this year’s One Piece Premiere Summer event will focus on the “fiery bonds between three brothers,” thus, the One Piece live show will most likely focus on the three brothers from the series: Luffy, Sabo, and Ace.
In addition to the One Piece Premiere Summer event, Universal Studios Japan is also hosting a number of anime-themed exhibitions this spring and summer. One of these is an Attack on Titan exhibit entitled “Shingeki no Kyojin THE REAL” which features huge statues that recreate moments from the anime, themed food, and specialty items. A short 4D film based on Evangelion is also being hosted by Universal Studios Japan. Both attractions were scheduled to end before the One Piece Premiere Summer Event is slated to start but are now reported to have been extended to coincide with the One Piece event. With a Yokai Watch “THE REAL” exhibition also coming this summer, those visiting Universal Studios Japan are sure to have a blast.
